AskAdmin for mac is a small program used to restrict access to specific executable files. With its assistance, we can conveniently block computer games or programs storing private information (passwords, documents or conversations). With it we ensure this data remains unattainable to third-party users.
AskAdmin boasts an intuitive user-interface that will prove easy for even novice users to operate. To block an executable file, drag its icon from Windows Explorer onto the main application window or use its standard dialog box; after some time a new item will appear in our list. Repeat until all filters have been configured successfully and finish configuring by restarting Windows Explorer (menu “Options” -> “Restart Windows Explorer”). We also offer various ways of managing our list of blocked applications – these options include showing file properties window, copying data to system clipboard (path name, description text and MD5 checksum), opening input directory or temporarily blocking entries etc.
This application does not need to be installed into your operating system – simply unpack its ZIP archive at any location on the hard disk or external data carrier and set aside for use. An easily navigated help file has also been included with this program and should be read before starting setup; alternatively you may visit its official website where there will also be a brief video tutorial available for you.
Limitations!
AskAdmin download for windows is distributed free-of-charge (under a freeware license). However, its free version has certain functional restrictions – for instance we cannot load readymade filter lists into it or set an access password; moreover certain apps cannot be blocked or just certain users cannot have them blocked; registration will unlock these features and allow us to take full advantage of them.
