Protector Plus Windows Vulnerability Scanner free download is an application developed specifically to assess Windows systems for vulnerability to hacker or malware attacks using Microsoft Security Bulletin vulnerability database updates. Once vulnerabilities have been discovered, Protector Plus provides advice regarding which patches need to be applied immediately and by whom.
The user-interface for our application consists of one window which displays information about our system as well as an alphabetized list of threats found, complete with descriptions, numbers in Security Bulletin listings and assessments of their severity. Scanning is fast and has almost no adverse impact on computer performance, without needing installation or user training – simply run the executable file to see whether we want to perform vulnerability analyses. Once we indicate this desire, the program will scan our Windows system and if anything suspicious is discovered it will display results with links to security patches for that issue. Unfortunately, to run another scan we must restart our application first.
