F-Secure Rescue CD free for pc rescue CD offered by well-known antivirus solutions provider F-Secure, and designed to repair computers after they become infected by potentially hazardous software. Specifically, this application scans hard drive content and removes files that could contain Trojan horses, viruses, worms or rootkits threatening computer security (e.g. Trojan Horses or viruses).
Operation of this application is extremely straightforward. At first, the tool downloads updated virus database definitions when connected to the Internet; once this step has finished, select partitions to scan; additionally it checks Master Boot Record contents which should not be overlooked since some malware could use that sector as covert entry point into systems.
To use it, users must burn an ISO image onto CD/DVD/Blu-ray media – for this purpose we offer dedicated tools or packages such as Free ISO Burner/CDBurnerXP/ISO Recorder; F-Secure Rescue CD can even be loaded directly onto USB sticks through special processing.
Knoppix, a GNU/Linux distribution, comes included with this package as an operating system designed for minimal usage – perfect for backing up files, performing basic operations on data structures or browsing websites.
