TCHunt download for windows is a lightweight portable application created to search hard drives encrypted with Truecrypt for volumes encrypted with this encryption algorithm. No user-facing graphical user interface exists – instead TCHunt operates exclusively over command line interface and lets us identify both encrypted and hidden volumes both traditional and distributed volumes on hard disks.
Launching and using TCHunt download for mac can pose some difficulty for newer users, however. To start the Windows command line process, enter “cmd” in your search engine, run the found program, enter TCHunt’s path on disk into its new window window, and fill in all appropriate paths/commands/logos into this new one if everything went correctly – our welcome will include text logo of our program plus short descriptions of its functions/commands available within it.
- cautach drives using their designation; for instance:nettoyage
- cautach the specified drive with this command (e.g. “tchunt.exe -dc:” can search C: drive for TrueCrypt volumes while “tchunt -dc: 2>nul” displays only suspicious files).
- -h, used to return back to the initial screen, must also be entered.
- -v, used to display the full report.
Please be aware that TCHunt does not help us break passwords or access TrueCrypt encrypted data. As per its manufacturer, detecting encrypted volumes with special software is usually straightforward – TCHunt was designed as an awareness campaign to make users of TrueCrypt aware of this fact – though we could use it ourselves if someone seems like they might have something hidden away.
Attention!
Unfortunately, development on this program has stopped and will no longer occur.
