Microsoft Security Essentials free for pc program developed to protect Windows against malware – automatically downloads its most current virus signature database and features a green icon in the tray to indicate protection by this software.
Microsoft Security Essentials for mac features three scanning modes – quick, full and user – which allow us to choose either an entire drive or specific folders / subfolders that we want scanned for infections. In the History tab we are kept informed about any infections identified as threats as soon as they’ve been found – complete with date/time/description info!
