3DPageFlip PDF to Flash software is a free program which converts PDFs into the popular SWF file format used by Flash animations and multimedia content, such as animations. This conversion may come in particularly useful when uploading documents (product catalog, user manual) onto websites without forcing users to manually download data themselves onto their computers’ hard drives. 3DPageFlip works in three modes.
- Standard interface that enables you to import files or directories that contain documents for extraction. Selected information will appear as visible text lists; conversion process updates can also be seen in a log window.
- Monitor mode allows a user to choose an input and output directory and path where activity information will be saved; any PDF file copied directly into that input directory is converted automatically and any unnecessary work on the computer can be minimized so as to keep things running smoothly. In addition, any PDFs copied directly to an input directory are converted automatically as soon as they arrive in that input directory – any PDFs copied therein automatically converted as soon as it arrives and any program can even be minimized to system tray so as to not obstruct ongoing workstation use!
- Simple command-line interface that offers just two parameters (input path and output path). These allow the conversion to take place.
This app is extremely intuitive to use. While there may be minor stability issues, overall it functions fairly decently and, even more important, is free for noncommercial use (English interface available).
