Screencast-O-Matic app is a small program for recording presentations and demonstrations in up to 15-minute videos with narration on a computer desktop view. You can record an image with any aspect ratio and resolution; just the active window, webcam image, or combine images from both camera and desktop can be selected; recording sound played by computer may not be possible, though you can record narration using an external microphone connected directly.
Operating this application is straightforward and can be accomplished using only your mouse (you may also use keyboard shortcuts for recording). Screencast-O-Matic download for pc use our cursor to select window sizes and view settings. While visually attractive, due to being written in Java it sometimes acts unpredictably (e.g. changing size of recorded area can sometimes “clip” instead of animating smoothly). Apart from these minor issues it works quite effectively without offering bells and whistles but simply doing its job effectively.
Before recording begins, we have three seconds to properly “prep,” after which material begins being recorded. You may pause and save local files as MP4, FLV or AVI formats or upload directly to YouTube channels or manufacturer servers – additional settings such as cursor highlighting can also increase viewership of recordings.
