Dr.Web LiveUSB free download is an innovative program that allows you to restore the system during an acute malware infection situation when Windows won’t load in any other manner. By creating an emergency bootable backup drive such as USB memory stick, USB Flash card or CD with this copy of Dr.Web, it becomes possible to gain access to hard disk resources, delete infected files and repair or purge system registry errors quickly and safely.
Dr.Web Live USB for windows is built on Linux and contains its own complete operating system with all necessary applications for basic work and system restoration. There are two modes available – graphically- or command line-oriented for more experienced users; text mode via Terminal icon provides more limited control; while graphics mode offers its own desktop environment complete with icons, taskbar and menu similar to Start menu – making navigation simple.
Dr.Web Live USB comes equipped with various preloaded applications such as:
- Dr.Web Scanner for Linux can scan all hard drive partitions to search for viruses and malware, then remove or move any found into quarantine; there is also the option of treating infected files as necessary.
- CureRegistry can restore and repair Windows registry back to its pre-disaster state.
- Mozilla Firefox needs no introduction; Dr.Web LiveUSB supports flash technology so multimedia content will be easily available when visiting websites.
- Sylpheed, an efficient email client.
- Midnight Commander, an intuitive folder and file manager.
- Leafpad and Nano tools that enable users to work with text documents as well as an integrated PDF viewer called ePDFViewer are included as tools available within Windows Vista/2008/7/10/8 for work with text documents and PDF viewing respectively.
Dr.Web LiveUSB can not only restore our system and our valuable files to health, but will also allow us to continue using basic functions of the computer. While no one wishes for such an event to occur, being prepared is always wise.
Note!
Please take into consideration that the program uses operating memory to create its settings on its own virtual disk separate from hard drives; any modifications made will be lost once your computer has been turned off and/or when closing down its browser; same goes with quarantine folder changes made after turning the computer off.
