Look ‘n’ Stop Firewall 2.07 Latest Version For PC
The Look ‘n’ Stop Firewall records all connection attempts in its log, allowing you to set rules for specific servers and clients, as well as giving insight into the properties of packets intended for transmission. The IP addresses, DNS names, and ports associated with each packet are displayed, and you can use traceroute to trace computers trying to contact us, as well as read WHOIS entries for their IP addresses. Advanced firewall options allow you to, among other things, use so-called flooding attacks, enable stateful inspection of TCP packets, maintain the network filter after the Firewall is closed, and control the network connectivity of programs after their operation ends. In addition, several plugins can be used in the application, which will help in obtaining information about IP addresses through external applications (e.g. SmartWhois, VisualRoute), will give access to even more advanced editing of firewall rules, and will enable a more accurate analysis of ARP packets. Plugins, along with a description of how to install them, can be found on the manufacturer’s website.
Unfortunately, the graphic design of the program does not look very impressive, and the interface has a definitely utilitarian look, in fact, it is simply outdated. Only people with a greater understanding of the principles of network connections can handle more advanced firewall configurations. All users may be annoyed by sound signals that very often notify about attempts of new connections, fortunately, the Firewall settings allow you to disable this annoying sound. In the FAQ section, available on the manufacturer’s website, you can read quite detailed instructions on how to use the application.
Attention!
The 64-bit version of the program works only on Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7.
