Sky Chart download in night watch is a program for creating sky maps based on information retrieved from catalogs of stars and nebulae. This free application, also available in Polish, will prove invaluable both as a learning resource to astronomy as well as in aiding telescope observations of the sky.
Stargazing on cloudless summer nights can be an amazing treat, while learning to recognize constellations can be an engaging activity if we possess enough knowledge – something Sky Chart will provide. On the map displayed by this program, we can view not only constellation stars but also planets, asteroids and comets in their positions. Furthermore, any part of this map can be printed out for night sky observation purposes. If we own a portable computer, the program manufacturer provides us with a solution: night mode – which significantly dims the interface so it is less visible at night – plus full screen viewing so only the map appears on the monitor screen.
Modifying our map parameters, including changing its place of observation, coordinate type, field of view direction and displayed objects is easy with Sky Chart. It even simulates the Sun, Moon, planets, asteroids and comets over time! Astronomy enthusiasts, hobbyists and scientists will appreciate being able to control digital telescopes with Sky Chart from within the program so as to find objects more quickly in the sky – as this makes observing celestial bodies with this device much simpler!
