SterJo NetStalker is a free program that monitors all outgoing and incoming network connections to and from our computer, while providing us the option of blocking them a la a firewall. In the program, we may create any number of rules to accept/block connections simultaneously but only one set at any one time can be active at a given time.
SterJo NetStalker displays a list of monitored connections organized into processes currently active on your system that accept or establish connections. From this list, you can quickly view connection properties like protocol, local IP address and port information, remote IP addresses and ports as well as connection status and process file paths. We can easily block selected connections, convert remote IP addresses to their domain names, copy remote IPs to Windows Clipboard for copying out and pasting into processes or kill processes using EXE files from Microsoft, display properties for EXE file properties as well as search the Internet using the default browser. SterJo NetStalker can efficiently detect processes attempting or successfully creating connections, so we can add these processes to a trusted list, disable their operation altogether or examine a remote host (IP address to domain name translation). Rules can be quickly activated/deactivated as desired and their priorities modified freely. To enable different sets of rules, either create it from scratch using the File menu, or import existing sets using this same menu; saving this set externally via file saving also is possible. The Protection Menu allows for rapid disabling/enabling of splitting algorithms (“Filter traffic”/”Allow full traffic” options), or blocking all connections quickly and painlessly. Furthermore, call monitoring can also be activated/disabled at will without causing any hassles or disruption to our service. SterJo NetStalker Log provides information regarding important events occurring within its program (for instance blocked connection attempts and details about them), while providing quick translation from IP Address to Domain name for quick reference. SterJo NetStalker can run in the background (minimized to the system tray for notifications) or automatically run when Windows boots up, with its log providing details about significant events (e.g. connection failure). Logs allow for quick translation between blocked connection attempts and their individual properties (i.e. IPs to domain names). SterJo NetStalker features an appealing graphical user interface and is straightforward for novice users to utilize. Even less experienced users should quickly grasp its basic rules of operation without blocking important applications or system services unintentionally; further guidance in English-language is included within its help file.
Attention!
In order to change the interface language to Polish, use: the possibilities/Preferences menu/Language tab in the settings window/Polish option/Apply button. Once chosen, close and restart the program from the system tray icon icon icon (to complete the process).
